Hi! I’m Ramona. I am a trained Professional Counsellor at MENZIES ProCare in Winkler and Morden Manitoba.
I believe that people heal when they're in safe, connected relationships. My passion is in helping individuals navigate their challenges, find healing and hope, and achieve personal growth.
I provide a safe and compassionate space where you, your story, your emotions and your goals matter. I understand how vulnerable it feels to go to therapy, and I also have personally experienced the importance of counselling.
I believe that everyone is doing the best they can with what they know, and that people can do better when they know better. And that is where counselling comes in- a place be heard, to learn self compassion, to discover what we believe, to challenge ways that are no longer working and learn new skills.
Interested to see if I'm a good fit for you? To book a complimentary 15 minute introduction appointment or phone call, call our office at 204-542-5009 or send a message.
Online counselling sessions are secure, private, and convenient. Email for current online appointment availability.
It is an honour to sit with my clients in the messy and painful parts of their story. It is often within these sacred moments of being heard and supported that hope and healing begin.
I’m a trauma-informed therapist working from a compassionate client centred approach. I have a Masters Degree in Counselling and have specialized training Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
There are many reason why people choose counselling. Maybe you are struggling with negative self talk or feeling overwhelmed. Often it is to work through complicated relationships and navigate challenging emotions. Perhaps you are facing loss, conflict, anxiety, depression, or negative self beliefs affecting your thoughts, emotions or behaviours.
Going to counselling does not mean you are broken. And you do not need to wait until the issues become too big or to heavy. Change is possible.
Book a session and discover the benefits of being supported, seen and heard.
A therapeutic relationship is not about getting rid of or avoiding painful emotions, situations and memories, but it is about learning how to navigate life, even when life is hard.
Talking through emotions, thoughts and behaviours in a supportive space can be empowering and you can
During a counselling session you will be invited into my office, offered a cup of coffee and given the time for what you need. Each session is centred on you and your healing journey. It is common to feel vulnerable and to cry as we explore life experiences and questions you bring. It is a safe space with no judgment.
Every person is welcome.
Some ways I as a counsellor can help you:
Does life feel too much? Is anxiety affecting you? Counselling can help you accept and learn new ways when you are feeling overcome with sadness, hopelessnes, stress, fear or anxiety. Together we can explore your thoughts and feelings, gain insights into your behaviour, and develop strategies to manage again.
Are you living a life full of uncertainties, pain and feeling unheard? You are more than your pain, and you do not need to face this alone.
Personal experience with chronic pain has given me understanding and insight into the emotional and mental health impact of chronic pain and illness. Counselling for people living with chronic illness, invisible illnesses, and persistent pain is focused on emotional support, identity and whole-person healing. Whether you are navigating a new diagnosis or you have been living with symptoms for years, my space is here for you- safe, supportive, and attuned to your lived experience.
Chronic conditions affect more that the body- they touch our identity, relationships, and sense of control. I'm here to hold space for things the medical space may have overlooked.
I offer compassionate support for those navigating grief, miscarriage, and the emotional journey of infertility. I have a heart for those walking through some of life's most painful experiences- pregnancy loss, infertility, and grief. I offer a safe, non-judgemental space to share your story and begin healing at your own pace.
I have personal experience with infertility, miscarriage, a traumatic delivery, adoption and parenting. My goal is to be a steady, compassionate presence- whether you're feeling overwhelmed, heartbroken, angry, numb, or just in need of someone who understands.
People living with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), self harming and/or suicidal behaviours, and other mood disorders are often misunderstood. We all doing the best we can, and with new skills we can do better. I am part of Boundary Trails DBT, a comprehensive DBT program, where we offer an intensive DBT program. This program involves weekly skills group and individual counselling sessions to begin applying these skills. The goal of DBT is to help people manage their emotions and behaviours so that they can reduce emotional suffering, be more effective in accomplishing their goals, and create a life worth living. If you are feeling stuck in cycles of intense emotion, fear of abandonment or relationship difficulties, please contact Boundary Trails DBT.
